In the southern area of a Torino, next to the ex FIAT Lingotto factory lies Eataly, the temple for gourmand. Its official date of birth is 2007. It is considered the starting point of the Italian food and wine revival, pride and joy of Torino, that is becoming more and more attractive. The old Carpano plant, a milestone in the history of Vermouth (invented here) is nowadays a rare and precious place, where it is possible to discover the best products from all over Italy.

In this tour you will visit the underground cellar, hosting its wines and artisan beers, and listen to the many "flavored stories" about the Gianduja and Turin's famous chocolate. You will also have the chance to visit the tiny (but amazing) Carpano Museum inside the building. At last, the guide will take you to your tasting, where you will enjoy a glass of wine with cold cuts and cheeses. A tour for the real gourmand.

Visit the elegant apartments hidden behind the simple facade of the Royal Palace, listed by UNESCO, accompanied by a guide. A trip back in time in the life of the King of Italy, also known as the King of Sardinia before 1861. Awaiting in the many different rooms are the stories and anecdotes of court life, from the strict protocol to the menus for large official dinners, from the dances at the Palace to the halls of government.

The Royal Palace of Turin, a World Heritage Site since 1997, is the flagship of the Savoy Residences, known as the seventeenth century Crown of Delights. It is a symbol of power and the place of the great court events: lunches, dances and diplomatic meetings that have marked both Italian and International history. The path winds through the different rooms to find decorations, furnishings, beautiful oriental porcelain, but also the use and the hidden meaning of small or large objects.

The path includes the view Royal Armory, one of the richest collections of arms and armor in the world.

The visit allows you to admire the splendid archaeological weapons of Beaumont Gallery, medieval weapons, bladed weapons and firearms, the weapons used by the Savoy kings in the nineteenth century, surrounded by valuable armor of the Fifteenth and Sixteenth century, all in a fascinating setting.

Your discoveries: wine, sugar, herbs and fantasy: get ready to become vermouth makers through a fun and interactive way to discover one of Piedmont's excellences. The legendary Vermouth was born in Turin in the 1700’s, but has not yet ceased to amaze. This automatised, fortified wine is flavoured with various botanicals and can be found in many classic cocktails such as such as the Martini, the Manhattan, the Rob Roy and the Negroni. As an ingredient for cocktails or sole protagonist, Vermouth accompanies our imagination in a stylish and practical world of knowledge, wisdom and style.

Fulvio Piccinino will be the one to introduce guests to the magical world of Vermouth and to conduct the tasting, an undisputed master of the field. For years in fact, he has been engaged in research and revaluation of Vermouth and seminars for the dissemination of a conscious and healthy drinking culture.

Step inside Turin’s charming atmosphere on this specially crafted day tour, the only one that takes you by high-speed train from Milan. As the cultural capital of northern Italy, this amazing city boasts an incredible concentration of world-class architecture, museums, piazzas, parks and monuments, not to mention the famous Shroud of Turin. With artistic achievements spanning from the Renaissance, Baroque, Rococo, and Neo-Classic to Art Nouveau, this stunning former Italian capital shares the same elegant mood as great European cities like Paris or Vienna, adding a dash of its own savoir-faire and a healthy dose of its famous gelato and chocolate!

Meet our guide at Milan’s central railway station, and set off on the short 1-hour high-speed train ride to Turin. Once you arrive, you’ll meet up with your local expert guide right at the train station to commence your wonderful 2-hour walking tour followed by some free time with the added bonus of insider tips and recommendations. Explore the city’s long boulevards, hidden corners and most important attractions to see the Turin that the only the locals know, all with the interesting stories and anecdotes that make the city come to life.

See famed piazzas like Piazza San Carlo with its twin 17th century churches, and enjoy free time for lunch and a visit to the city’s Egyptian Museum (the second largest in the world after Cairo’s), the immense Palazzo Carignano, or basking in the dazzling atmosphere of the many 19th century cafés. After lunch meet up with your guide again to cover regal Turin in Piazza Castello, home to the city’s original castle, Palazzo Madama and the Royal Palace, whose immense façade rivals Europe’s other grand royal residences.

Not far away you’ll see Turin’s ‘Duomo’, home to the celebrated Holy Shroud that legend says the body of Jesus was buried in, miraculously bearing his likeness. The original is stored safely away, but a faithful replica is on display that is well-worth the visit. Then you’re off to another symbol of the city, the iconic triangular dome and spire of the Mole Antonelliana. Originally designed as a synagogue, this singular work of architecture is now home to the Museum of Cinema (also the tallest museum in the world!).

Now that you’ve seen Turin from the street and taken in its incredible history, like all Italian city’s it’s time to taste it! What could be better than some delectable chocolate ‘gianduiotti’ or pralines and a gelato at one of its most renowned venues? You can even pick up a box of chocolates for your friends and family back home!

After the tour, wind up the day with the same quick high-speed train journey back to Milan and find yourself with plenty of time left over to enjoy your evening with an ‘aperitivo’ or dinner and a night on the town.
