Whether or not you believe Turin to be a sinister or diabolical place his passion for the city produced one of the classics of the horror genre: Profondo Rosso (Deep red). The film is regarded by fans as possibly his finest; a ghoulish blend of murder mystery and horror that utilises some key landmarks in Turin.
